FIBA Basketball 2014 World Championship will be taking place in Spain starting from 30th August to 14th September 2014 and there will be 24 teams taking part in what should be a massive event. The first world cup was played back in 1950 and since than 16 world cup have been taken place with USA,  Soviet  Union and Yogoslavia winning 3 each and Brazil has won it twice. 2014 world cup will be the 17th edition and Spain as a host will be looking to win their 2nd world cup.

Most of the big countries TV channels has been confirmed though there are many regions who still to apply for the rights to broadcast. IN USA ESPN has the rights to broadcast every FIBA tournament from 2013-15 which means both men’s and women world cup will be broadcasted by ESPN in USA.
