Their will be 24 teams playing against each other to be crowned 2014 FIBA world champions in 15 days of competition. 24 teams are divided into 4 groups of 6 teams each and top four teams from each group (16 teams) will make it to the first knockout round. Than the quarterfinals, semifinals and the the big final which will take place in Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid, Madrid.
