Holland FIFA World Cup 2014 Team Squad

Holland National Coach: Louis Van Gaal

One of the most respected and experienced managers around, Val Gaal is in his 2nd stint with Holland national side. He has previously worked at the clubs like Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. He likes to have a free flowing midfield where Robben will be given the licence to torment defenders.

Possible Starting Lineup at 2014 World Cup:

Holland 2014 world cup 2014Holland have some great skillful players in the ranks, Robin Van Persie is sure to lead the line with Robben and Lens on either side of the wing in a 4-3-3 formation. De Guzman, Strootman will play the anchor role in midfield alongside Wesley Snieder. Holland’s strength always has been their attacking gameplay. At the back they have young but solid back line.

Star Player: Arjan Robben & Van Persie

Robben is a such a great player when on form, he can switch and swap places on either side of the wing, likes to come inside for possible shooting oppertunities. He is even a better player when the decide to pass the ball, Van Persie is a class act and this will probably be his last world cup and at the peak of his career he should do great.

Youngster to watch out for – Stefan de Vrij

Such a wise head for a 20 year old, he might start for Holland in the centre of defence alongside Vlaar. He is tall and powerfull can score that odd goal from the corners.

Strootman and Willems are out of the WC due to injury. You are picking Zoet ahead of Cillessen?

  • Jeroen Pospiech

Verhaegh hasn’t been selected in 8 years, Willems is injured, Strootman is injured, Van Der Vaart has been injured for the last two months, so I’m not that sure about those four. Furthermore, what’s wrong with all the spelling mistakes? Since when does Daley Blind play for PSG? He’s been with Ajax all season and hasn’t announced a move yet.
