Baverians start the Champions League in a tough group which also had the likes of Valencia and they made it through from that group as winners and book their place in the round of 16 against Arsenal and they hammered the gunners in their own backyard by 3-1 before losing 2-0 at home but that was enough to make it to QuarterFinals. They made Juventus a very easy test by winning both legs 2-0 before hammering FC barcelona in the Semifinals by 7-0 on aggregate and book their place in their 3rd final of the Champions League in 4 years.
