VIDEO: Squirrel invades court during Karen Khachanov versus Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Washington

A special spectator made its way on court during the second round match between Karen Khachanov and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the Citi Open in Washington on Tuesday.
Just when the duo was about to show up after a changeover, a squirrel made appeared on court, had a bit of fun for a while before being shown the exit, much to the amusement of the crowd.
The proceedings were not interrupted for long though as Tsonga, a former world No. 5, used his experience to pull off a 6-4 2-6 7-5 win over Khachanov, the No. 2 seed of the tournament.
“I played very good tennis, just really happy to go through this one. It’s been a long time since I won against a top-10 player,” Tsonga was quoted as saying by ATP World Tour. “It’s good for me.
“It’s good to get some rewards when you’re working well and you play some good matches.”
Tsonga, a former Grand Slam finalist, will next square off against 13th seed Kyle Edmund of Great Britain on Thursday.
