He wasn’t even fighting this time around. Yet, Conor McGregor has managed to make the headlines.

The Irish Mixed Martial Arts superstar embroiled himself in a controversy after he shoved a referee following his teammate Charlie Ward’s win in Dublin on Friday.

No sooner did Ward knock out John Redmond in the first round at Bellator 187, than McGregor barged into the octagon and burst into celebration.

This didn’t go down well with referee Marc Goddard, who ordered McGregor pull back as he was as he wasn’t a licensed cornerman for the fight.

Clearly furious, McGregor then pushed Goddard from the back before swinging his arm at an official who tried to intervene.

Bellator later released a statement, saying that the incident is being “currently reviewed.”
