Rafael Nadal is leaving no stone unturned ahead of this month’s French Open.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion hasn’t had the best of the outings on his favourite surface clay this year, having lost in the semi-finals of all the three tournaments – Monte-Carlo, Barcelona and Madrid – recently.

It’s perhaps this winless streak that has forced Nadal to rejoin hands with uncle Toni, with whom he split at the end of 2017 season after working together for almost two decades.

The duo was seen together during a practice session in Rome, where Nadal is scheduled to participate at the Italian Open.

In a video posted by Tennis TV on Twitter, uncle Toni can be seen giving tips to Nadal, who seems to be working on his forehand.

“I like it, maybe uncle Toni can awake the warrior’s flame that seems to be missing lately,” one person commented.

“When in (somewhat) fear, Uncle Toni is always here,” another one added.

Nadal is slated to cross the swords with either Richard Gasquet or Jeremy Chardy in his opener.
