It wasn’t all smooth for Rafael Nadal on Monday.

The Spaniard did put on an almost flawless show, pulling off a 6-2 6-1 6-3 win over Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann in the first round of the French Open.

While making his way out on the court, however, he suffered an ouch moment as he accidently brushed his head against an edge of a camera that was apparently programmed to follow his movements.

Nadal, however, played it down by advancing to the middle along with the mascot. He went on to win as many as 80 per cent of the points on his second serve to emerge victorious after one hour and 57 minutes.

This is not the first time the 32-year-old has failed to watch his head. While waiting ahead of Wimbledon showdown against Lukas Rosol, he banged his head on the roof.

Meanwhile, Nadal will look to pocket another easy win when he squares off against little known Yannick Maden of Germany in the second round on Wednesday.
