British tennis superstar Andy Murray was surely well-prepared for his third-round match against Belgium’s David Goffin, for he swiftly clinched a straight-set victory in the middle. However, what left him flabbergasted was a ball girl’s mishit.

As soon as the 28-year-old consolidated to 3-0 lead in the opening set and went for the game interval, the bottle in his hands came off after being struck by a misguided ball. Surprised, Murray uttered “what the f***?” and threw the ball back to the ball kids.

The ball girl, who erroneously threw the ball towards Murray, later showed a sweet gesture as she wrote, “so sorry, Andy. Good luck for the next match,” in front of a television, where the Brit can be seen signing the camera screen after pulling off the match.

Murray was also kind enough to acknowledge the “adorable” gesture of the ball girl. “Adorable. Gave me a little fright, but it woke me up. See you tomorrow Lorenza,” he tweeted, before going on to finish the tournament as the runner-up (lost to Novak Djokovic).
