Benoit Paire ripped apart his shirt on his way to a four-set loss to Marcos Baghdatis in the second round of the US Open 2016 on Wednesday.

After going down two-sets-to-love, Paire vent his frustration on his t-shirt during the changeover, as he furiously slit it up in two pieces before disposing it off.

Although this helped the Frenchman discover his composure as he fought back to take the third set, he couldn’t save himself the blushes, going down 6-2 6-4 3-6 6-4 in the battle that went on for two hours and 10 minutes on Old Grandstand.

This comes just hours after Paire entered the pressroom drinking a beer, following his first-round win here.

As for Baghdatis – who is best-known for finishing as runner-up at the 2006 Australian Open – will move on to face either Milos Raonic or Ryan Harrison in the third round.
