Andrey Rublev is often in the news for all the wrong reasons. Wednesday turned out to be an exception.

The 20-year-old Russian pulled off a stunning 7-5 6-4 win over French 7th seed Lucas Pouille in the first round of the ATP 500 event in Rotterdam.

At the end of the match, just as he packed his kit and began walking for the court-side interview, Rublev changed his path after realising that a young fan was awaiting his autograph.

Rublev not only obliged but also served up a sweet gesture by posing for a photograph alongside the boy.

Now, that’s how you win hearts!

Meanwhile, Rublev will look to carry on the momentum when he squares off against in-form Bosnian Damir Dzumhur in the second round on Thursday.
