Swiss junior tennis player Rebeka Masarova and her family came through unscathed after miraculously surviving a horrible car crash in Clermont-Ferrand, France on Monday afternoon.

Masarova, 17, was on her way to compete at the ITF $25K event here along with her mother and brother when the incident took place about 100 kilometers away from their destination.

Masarova took to her Facebook page to narrate the incident to her fans. She revealed that their car got off road and spun for about three-four times before coming to a halt upside-down.

“We were staying there and just hugging each other. We couldn’t believe it at all,” she wrote. “We couldn’t believe that everything was broken in thousand little pieces, but we just had one or two little scratches. I don’t know how I will ever thank God enough for what he did.”

Masarova is best known for stunning former World No. 1 Jelena Jankovic in her professional debut at 2016 Ladies Chamionship in Gstaad. She, however, first came into limelight after winning the girls’ singles title at the French Open earlier this year.

Meanwhile, she is scheduled to square-off against Amandine Cazeaux in Clermont-Ferrand opener on Wednesday.
