It’s not an unknown fact that Swiss stars Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka are among the best pals on tour. But, that didn’t hinder the latter from pulling his companion’s leg following his US Open triumph.

Addressing media after his win against World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the title-clash, Wawrinka mischievously mocked Federer’s defeat to the Serb in the last year’s final at the same venue.

“You remember last year Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer in the final of this tournament. How did you face him today? Any chance to chat (with) Roger about how to… you know,” the reporter asked before Wawrinka interrupted with a cheeky verbal volley, “to lose?”

“(About) how to face Novak today?” the reported continued.

“No, I didn’t have a chance to chat with Roger,” Wawrinka added. “I think Roger is one of my closest friends on the tour. In the past we talked many times with Roger. He ask (sic) me advice. I ask him advice. But, no, I didn’t ask him anything.”

No wonder, Stan’s the man!
