Ranked outside the top 100 of world rankings two years ago, Spain’s Garbine Muguruza has come a long way to peak to No. 3 in the world rankings. Such has been her dominance in the last two seasons, and that seems to have propelled her to achieve even more.

The 22-year-old Muguruza, who is scheduled to kick-off her 2016 season at the next week’s Brisbane International, asserted her dream to clinch a Grand Slam title, although she agreed that it would not be easy even as the players always work for it.

“It’s my dream to win a Grand Slam. You always work for it, but it’s very difficult,” Muguruza was quoted as saying by BetsPlayer.

Reflecting on her sudden rise in the tennis world, she added: “In tennis everything is so fast. Two years ago I was hardly in the top 100. In so short a time, I’m here.

“But it happens so many times. People, suddenly you see them on top, you don’t see them, (and) then you see them again. I think sports is like this. You have to try to be more consistent.”
