Roger Federer will play one event on clay before Roland Garros, reveals coach
Roger Federer revealed his tentative schedule for the 2016 season that generated a lot of chitchats in the tennis world, for it didn’t include any of the clay-court events heading onto the prestigious Roland Garros next year.
But, the Swiss maestro’s coach Severin Luthi divulged that this will not be the case as Federer is slated to feature in any one of the tune-ups ahead of the season’s second Grand Slam, although no tournament has been finalized as yet.
“Roger will play another tournament on clay, but it is not yet clear what will be,” Luthi was quoted via bolamarela.
Earlier, Federer’s schedule had made no mention of the Masters events in Monte Carlo, Madrid and Rome, and neither of the ATP event in Istanbul that precedes the Roland Garros.
