Tennis superstar Roger Federer announced his schedule for the 2016 season via social media. The Swiss maestro is slated to feature in 16 odd tournaments next year, as per the “tentative” schedule divulged by him on his official Twitter handle.

The 34-year-old will start on his season at the Brisbane International before participating at the Australian Open. Subsequently, he’ll be taking part at the ATP events in Rotterdam, Dubai and Indian Wells, but will skip a number of Masters events on clay thereafter and partake directly at the French Open.

Making no surprises from then on, Federer has decided to pick Stuttgart and Halle as the tune-up events for the Wimbledon Championships. Moving on, Toronto will be his only tournament before making it to the Rio Olympics, where he is expected to represent Switzerland in all the three events.

In addition, Federer will involve himself at the Cincinnati Masters, the US Open, Shanghai Masters, Basel, and Paris Masters in the latter half of the calendar season.
