The race to winning most Grand Slam titles intensified after Rafael Nadal won his 18th Major at the French Open last week.

The Spaniard is just two shy of arch-rival Roger Federer’s all-time record of 20. While the duo has been arguably playing the best tennis of their lives, there’s Novak Djokovic with 15 triumphs, who has been winning more of late, making it a three-way battle at the top.

Who will ultimately end up winning the most? Ask Rafael’s uncle Toni, and he (obviously) wants his nephew to get the better of Federer and Djokovic.

“Rafa is close to Federer. Each year it costs more to win a title but this Roland Garros will give him motivation,” uncle Toni was quoted as saying by bolamarela. “I’ve always had great confidence in Rafa. I trust you will overcome.”

The 58-year-old also came up with an interesting solution that would help Nadal beat his rivals.

“Another thing will be if Federer wins his 21st at Wimbledon. Roger is the best player in history, he’s 37 years old and has four children. With four children, all you have to do is dedicate yourself to the family and leave tennis,” he quipped.

How about Djokovic? Well, he has the same solution. Djokovic also has two children. “Let’s see if it does the same.”
