Roger Federer Could Definitely Win One More Grand Slam: Chris Evert

Switzerland’s tennis superstar Roger Federer could add on to his 17 Grand Slam titles and that he just needs to get an ‘edge factor’ to pull one off, insists former World No. 1 Chris Evert.

Despite having not won a major since 2012, Federer has made it to the finals on several occasions but has been denied time and again by top-ranked Serb Novak Djokovic.

Evert, however, believes that the Swiss maestro is looking for something ‘out of the box’ to get the better of Djokovic, which is why he recently included Ivan Ljubicic to his coaching team.

“Roger’s always looking for the edge. Maybe there’s a little shock value in it (changing coaches),” the 61-year-old Evert was quoted as per saying by ESPN.

“Can you give me something that’s just out of the box, edgy that maybe I can think about and bring into a match with Djokovic?,” she added further.

“It just shows by changing coaches he’s still in the hunt and still really wants it badly. He definitely could still win a major.”

Meanwhile, Federer will look to end his Grand Slam drought when he locks horns with Georgia’s Nikoloz Basilashvili in the first round of the Australian Open 2016 that begins next week.
