14-time Grand Slam winner, Rafael Nadal, confirmed his participation for the Argentina Open 2015, to be held in Buenos Aires in February next year.

28-year-old Nadal, who had been compelled to announce a last-minute withdrawal from the tournament this season due to stomach problems, said that he is delighted to be a part of the tournament.

“I’m very excited to return to Argentina in February to play the Argentina Open,” a keyed-up Nadal was quoted as saying by the ATP World Tour’s official site.

“I love playing in Latin American because it feels like home,” he added. “After having to pull out at the last minute this season due to stomach problems, I’m very excited to go back in 2015.

“I hope I can play my best tennis there and see all the Argentine fans, who love our sport so much.”

This would be Nadal’s first appearance since 2005 at the clay-court event in Argentina.
