14-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal had a substandard 2015 season, wherein he failed to add anything on to his Grand Slam tally. But, his coach-cum-uncle Toni believes that the Spaniard will not only be back to his best, but also start winning the majors yet again in the upcoming season.

The 29-year-old Nadal, who lost 20 matches for the first time in his career after 2003, hit the wall in the first half of the season but somewhat managed to resurge in the latter half that saw him make his way back to the Top 5 of the world rankings. But, Toni expects his ward to make more merry next season.

“I couldn’t do this work if I thought that he couldn’t win more Grand Slams,” Toni was quoted as per saying by Fox Sports. “In tennis, you need confidence to do things. It’s impossible to do anything without confidence.”

Speaking about Nadal’s Grand Slam prospects in 2016, he added: “He can win the Australian Open in January, and he can win Wimbledon, too. The last few years, Rafael arrives at Wimbledon and he loses early, and very fast. In Roland Garros, for sure, Rafael can win.”
