With his opening match at the Shanghai Masters still a couple of days away, Roger Federer enjoyed some time off in the Chinese city.

The 19-time Grand Slam champion – along with his coach Severin Luthi – headed out to watch an NBA pre-season game involving the Golden State Warriors.

And guess what? The Swiss maestro caught up with some of the fellow superstars from across the sport – Kevin Durant and Yao Ming, to be precise.

Federer’s 6’1” frame took a beating as he posed with the 7’6” Ming, a retired basketball player. And the case was barely different when he stood alongside the 6’9” Durant.

The Swiss maestro later took to his official Instagram account to share a few snapshots with his 3.9 million followers.

Federer, the No. 2 seed in the draw, begins his campaign against either Argentine Diego Schwartzman or a qualifier in the second round.
