The tennis season may be over, but Garbine Muguruza is still winning laurels.

The Spanish tennis star was named the ‘personality of the year’ at Vanity Fair award ceremony held in Madrid on Wednesday.

She later took to her official Instagram account to share a few snapshots from the gala with her 584,000 followers.

“Incredible night having chosen me Personality of the year!!” the 24-year-old captioned one of her images.

The function was attended by some of the known names in the world of glamour including Spanish model Nieves Alvarez and Argentina actor Topacio Fresh.

The award comes on the back of a season that saw Muguruza claim her second Grand Slam title (Wimbledon) and also clinch the No. 1 ranking.

Meanwhile, the six-footer is expected to begin her preparations for 2018 season soon as she is scheduled to feature at January’s Brisbane International, where she will compete alongside the likes of Sloane Stephens, Petra Kvitova and Samantha Stosur.
