Romania’s star tennis player Simona Halep graced her presence at a basketball match in the city of Cluj-Napoca, just hours after pulling out of country’s upcoming Fed Cup tie.

Halep, the current world No. 2, pulled out of the World Group II first-round fixture against Canada due to an ankle injury that she suffered en route to a runner-up finish at the Australian Open recently.

She, therefore, took some time off the training camp to kick-start the proceeding between Romanian club U-BT Cluj and Keravnos of Cyprus in a FIBA Europe Cup match on Wednesday.

Much to Halep’s delight, the home team pulled off 77-71 win over the visitors.

“I have that ‘I’m not sure what to do with this ball but let’s go with it’ look!” she captioned a picture of herself holding the basketball.

“Thanks for being so nice to me Cluj, and well done @UBTCluj. See you on Saturday to support our Fed Cup girls!”

Meanwhile, Halep is expected to make her return at the WTA event in Dubai, scheduled to be begin on February 19.
