Top singles male tennis player, Novak Djokovic, will make a rare doubles appearance at the upcoming Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships – an ATP 500 event – scheduled to be held from February 22-28 at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre in Dubai, UAE.

According to a report, Djokovic is slated to team up with fellow Serb Nenad Zimonjic for the doubles event. Zimonjic, an eight-time Grand Slam champion and a former World No. 1, is currently featuring at the Rotterdam event alongside Luxembourgish Gilles Muller.

The Serbian duo will join the likes of Jean-Julien Roger and Horia Tecau, Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea, Daniel Nestor and Radek Stepanek, and Dominic Inglot and Robert Lindstedt as the other pairs named in the main draw of the tournament.

With the Rio Olympics not too far away, Djokovic and Zimonjic could well be teaming up to get some practice ahead of sport’s mega-event which is programmed to run across August this year in Rio de Janerio, Brazil.
