Controversial Australian tennis player, Nick Kyrgios, has vowed to put his infamous sledging incident involving Stanislas Wawrinka behind as the duo are scheduled to team up for the Singapore Slammers at the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL).

Kyrgios had garnered immense criticism for passing personal comments on Wawrinka earlier this year. But, the 20-year-old is ready to obliterate the distasteful memories and pledges to support the latter when the duo represents the same team at the IPTL.

“We haven’t obviously talked at all,” admitted Kyrgios (via FoxSports). “I think whatever has happened has happened. I think we’ve got one goal, he’s a great player and he’s obviously going to be the main guy for our team,” he continued further.

“So I’m going to do everything I can, whether that’s me being on the bench, you know doing whatever I can to warm him up or whatever. Here, I think we all want to win and hopefully we can put everything aside and just do that.”
