Back to form after a timid start to the season, ace Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal is pumped up to sign off the year on a high at the prestigious World Tour Finals, which is scheduled to kick-off on Sunday at the O2 Arena in London.

The 5th-ranked Nadal has a tough assignment ahead, having been placed alongside Andy Murray, Stanislas Wawrinka and David Ferrer in the same group. However, the 29-year-old stated that he’s feeling as motivated as ever to quell his thirst for victory.

“Every time I come here I arrive with motivation to try my best. This year is not an exception even if it was not an ideal season for me,” Nadal was quoted as saying by the ATP World Tour website. “I’m here to keep fighting as I did the last tournaments and I had the motivation to do it,” he continued.

“I need to keep playing the way that I’m playing the last month and a half. I think like this I’m going to be in a good position.”

Nadal, who’s 58-19 this season, is slated to cross the swords with Wawrinka in his opening ‘Round Robin’ match on Monday here.
