In pics: Stan Wawrinka trains for the first time since undergoing knee surgery

Three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka on Tuesday returned to training for the first time since undergoing knee surgery.

Wawrinka, a former world No. 3, went under the knife in August after crashing out in the first round of the Wimbledon this year.

The Swiss star later announced that he will miss the rest of 2017 season and will only make his comeback in the new year.

And with the new season just a month-and-a-half away, Wawrinka returned to training and have a glimpse of to it his fans via social media.

The 32-year-old shared some pictures with his 1.61 million followers on Twitter. “First practice since July!Sooooo happy and excited!!” he wrote.

Posting a video of himself, hitting his feared backhand, he captioned: “Already killing the cones with the backhand.”
