Victoria Azarenka, who has been away from tennis for the last 11 months, is scheduled to make her comeback at the Bank of West Classic in Stanford that will be held from July 31 to August 6 later this year.

The 27-year-old was in great form in 2016, winning back-to-back titles in Indian Wells and Miami before she announced her pregnancy. Seven months on after the birth of her son Leo, the Belarusian is keyed up for her comeback.

“I am very excited to be returning to the WTA at the Bank of the West Classic,” Azarenka was quoted as saying by WTA Tennis.

“Becoming a mother has been the most rewarding thing that has ever happened to me and really puts things in perspective. I am looking forward to beginning this new stage of my career,” she added.

Interestingly, Azarenka had triumphed in Stanford back in 2010 after defeating Russia’s Maria Sharapova in the summit clash.
