Kristyna Pliskova has received some expert advice ahead of her first-round match against 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams at the French Open.

Kristyna’s twin Karolina, a former world No. 1, had beaten Serena in the semi-finals of the US Open 2016 and she didn’t mind giving away a tip or two for her sister to do what she did.

“We talk a lot, obviously. Even though we don’t see everyday chatter, because she stays in different hotel, and so having a different plan totally than me,” Karolina was quoted as saying by Express.co.uk.

“But we talk always maybe about some players like I didn’t know Barbora much. We didn’t play. She played more some practices so she told me a little bit more about Barbora today,” she said of Barbora Krejcikova, whom she beat 7-6 6-4 in the first round on Monday.

“And obviously I want to talk to her about Serena because I think – I told her already a couple of things, but I think she has a good chance.

“So if she believes she can beat her, I think there is a chance.”

Kristyna indeed has a good chance of pulling off an upset win as Serena has been struggling ever since she made a comeback after giving birth to her first child.

The duo is scheduled to lock horns on Tuesday, 14:00 hours local time.
