For a player who has won three different Grand Slams in his career, the next obvious goal would be the fourth Major to complete, as it is called, the career Grand Slam.

But for World No. 5 Stan Wawrinka, it’s not what he is looking at right now. “It’s not a goal,” Wawrinka, who won the Australian Open (2014), French Open (2015) and US Open (2016), told Sport360.com.

“It’s already amazing to have won three different grand slams, that’s something very special,” the 31-year-old added.

That said, if not an immediate aim, winning the elusive Wimbledon crown must surely be in the Swiss’ wish list. And he doesn’t deny that.

“Every year I try my best at Wimbledon, in the grass court season so far I haven’t played as good as I have on the rest of the surfaces but I’m still pushing for finding my best game on that surface so we’ll see this year,” said Wawrinka, whose best appearance at the prestigious grass-court event on two occasions (2014, ’15).

Whether or not it happens, only time will tell.
