The Australia Open 2015 is slated to kick-off in around a month’s time and the excitement among the fans is inevitable. And to bolster the level of exhilaration, the tournament’s official site announced a star-studded line up for the first Grand Slam of the year.

According to a report by the Australian Open’s official website, all of the top 100 men ranked inside the top 100 of the men’s singles rankings will be competing at the tournament.

The field included former United States Open champion, Juan Martin de Potro and Serbia’s Janko Tipsarevic, both of whom have been out of action from a while due to injuries.

Meanwhile, all of the top 100 women ranked within the top 100 of women’s singles rankings – including former world number two Vera Zvonareva – will be seen playing the tournament, except 58th-ranked Czech Petra Cetkovska.

“This is one of the deepest and strongest fields in the history of the tournament,” stated Tennis Australia’s CEO Craig Tiley. “Fans will be thrilled to welcome back some former top ten stars, all returning after some time out of the game with injury.”
