Is there anything Moeen Ali can’t do? Perhaps not!

The England all-rounder demonstrated his resourcefulness as he switched from an off-spinner to a medium pacer while leading Worcestershire in a County Championship Division One match against Yorkshire earlier this week.

And guess what? He even bagged a wicket, that too a prized one. Moeen had Yorkshire’s Jack Brooks edge one straight to wicket-keeper Ben Cox.

No wonder, he celebrated the entire team celebrated the wicket.

His effort, however, was not enough as Yorkshire went on to amass 428 runs, taking a healthy first-innings lead of 88 runs.

In response, Worcestershire could only manage 221 runs even as Moeen smashed 67 off just 74 balls. Yorkshire easily chased the target, losing just three wickets in the process.

Meanwhile, Moeen – after impressing with the bat in the domestic circuit – made a return to the England side in the just-concluded five-Test series against India.

Moeen has been named in England’s squad for Sri Lanka ODIs, beginning October 10.
