PHOTOS: ‘Underdressed’ Eugenie Bouchard stuns on trek up the Swiss alps

Eugenie Bouchard is not bogged down by her series of flops on court, it seems.

The Canadian tennis star, a former Wimbledon finalist who was once ranked as high as No. 5 in the world, has dropped to 146 in the WTA rankings.

In her most recent outing, the $100K event in Contrexeville, France, she crashed out in the first round after a 2-6 6-3 3-6 defeat to little-known Paula Badosa Gibert of Spain last week.

Despite, Bouchard decided to explore Switzerland as she enjoyed a trek up the Swiss Alps ahead of this week’s WTA International Ladies Championship in Gstaad.

The 24-year-old took some time off practice as she was accompanied by her mother to the snowy mountains. But hey, you don’t come over there wearing just mini crop top and shorts. In that case, even a denim jacket wouldn’t serve the purpose.

Bouchard realized just that but she could do nothing but post some stunning pictures of herself on Instagram.

“Severely underdressed for a trek up the Swiss mountains,” she admitted in the caption to her 1.7 million followers.

Apart from trekking, she went cliff-walking, a train-like toy ride, and enjoyed a bowl of sushi among the other activities.

Bouchard will face local favourite Timea Bacsinszky first up on Tuesday.
