Chair umpire Marta Mrozinska has been suspended to officiate at the French Open as well as the Wimbledon, according to bolamarela.pt.

This comes just days after Mrozinska was at the centre of controversy involving Czech tennis star Karolina Pliskova at the Italian Open in Rome.

It all started at 5-5 in the third set when Mrozinska ruled an overhand winner from Pliskova out, awarding the point to her opponent Maria Sakkari.

Eventually, Pliskova suffered a lapse in concentration towards the end and went down 3-6 6-3 7-5 in the second round.

She let out her frustrations at the end of the match by snubbing a handshake with Mrozinska before smashing a chair multiple times.

Pliskova, too, was fined ‘four-digit sum’ for her outburst even as her twin sister Kristyna Pliskova took to Twitter to show displeasure over the decision.

“The worst I have ever seen @wta and I hope this lady Marta Mrozinska will never ever judge any match of me or Karolina again #blacklistforever,” she tweeted.
