Luxembourgish tennis player Mandy Minella becomes a mother
Luxembourgish tennis star Mandy Minella announced the birth of her baby girl, Emma Lin.
Minella took to social media to share the news with her fans as she posted a photograph that indicated she became a mother on Monday (October 30).
“Your first breath took ours away. Welcome Emma Lina,” she wrote the caption.
Among the ones to send in their congratulatory messages were tennis players Andrea Hlavackova and Jarmila Wolfe.
“Congrats!!!! My Nephew is the same day two years ago,” Hlavackova commented on Instagram.
“So so happy for you !!! She is beautiful I can’t believe you are a mum !!!! You and tim will be amazing parents !!!” Wolfe commented on Twitter.
Minella (31), who married her boyfriend and coach Tim Sommer in October 2014, played Wimbledon this year while she was four months pregnant.
The former world No. 66 plans to return to tennis soon.
