The Roland Garros 2016 is all set to host the blockbuster summit rounds in the singles category after the match-ups were decided in the semi-finals on Friday.

In the men’s singles division, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic will lock horns with World No. 2 Andy Murray, in what would be repeat of last year’s semi-final, where the former prevailed in a five-set thriller.

While the top-seeded Djokovic made short work of Austria’s 13th seed Dominic Thiem 6-2 6-1 6-4, the second-seeded Murray took down defending champion Stanislas Wawrinka, the No. 4 seed, 6-4 6-2 4-6 6-2 in the last-four stage.

Djokovic leads the head-to-head record against Murray 23-10.

In the women’s division, top seed Serena Williams survived a scare from Dutchwoman Kiki Bertens before holding her nerves to prevail 7-6 6-4 in an intense two-set semi-final.

Awaiting her in the finals would be 4th seed Garbine Muguruza who toppled No. 21 seed Samantha Stosur 6-2 6-4.

Williams leads the career meeting by 3-1 against Muguruza ahead of the upcoming title-clash.
