Week 8 fantasy rankings

Emerging Dallas Cowboys star running back DeMarco Murray did something no player had ever done when he became the first man to rush for over 100 yards in the first seven games of a season.

Murray is quickly setting himself apart from the pack as the game’s best pure rusher, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s the top running back for fantasy purposes this week.

That distinction belongs to Chicago Bear Matt Forte, who has caught more than 10 passes in Chicago’s last two games. He’ll head into New England this weekend, and with the Patriots defense missing middle linebacker Jerod Mayo and defensive end Chandler Jones, Forte should have yet another massive payday.

Murray faces the solid Washington defense on Monday Night Football, and the Redskins are none so effective at defending the pass. He should get his yards in the end, but we could see a bit more of Dallas’ talented aerial attack in this one.

After a disappointing loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7, Houston Texans star Arian Foster should destroy Tennessee’s weak defensive front.

The Super Bowl champion Seahawks are reeling with two straight losses, and it’s their inability to get star rusher Marshawn Lynch involved enough. Expect him to be the focal point of their gameplan against the highly disappointing Carolina Panthers defense its weekend.
