The defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks rolled into FedEx Field tonight (October 6, 2014) to face off with reeling Washington Redskins.

The ‘Hawks came in off of their early bye week having last played in an exciting Week 3 overtime win over their Super Bowl opponent Denver Broncos. Despite on loss to the San Diego Chargers, the Seahawks were largely considered the best team in the league.

Meanwhile, Washington came in off of a horrific Week 4 loss to the New York Giants. Quarterback Kirk Cousins was thought to be the team’s next star after big performances against Jacksonville and Philadelphia, but he came back down to Earth with five untimely turnovers on the nationally televised game.

At 1-3, Washington was in dire need of a win against the elite Seahawks, and it turned out to be quite the game.

The action got started early by Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson, who took off this impressive 29-yard run that featured a stiff arm (courtesy of Vine):

That lead to this easy 15-yard scoring pass from Wilson to wide receiver Jermaine Kearse (Vine):

Wilson continued to use his legs to make plays, juking his way to this incredible pass (Vine):

‘Danger Russ’ then iced the drive with this slick touchdown saunter (Vine):

Washington finally scored with this 60-yard pass play to receiver Desean Jackson (Vine):

Cousins and Jackson later hooked up again on a 37-yard pass play (Vine):

They added to field goals to close the Seahawks’ lead to 17-10, but Seattle added a touchdown pass from Wilson to running back Marshawn Lynch to go up 24-10 in the middle of the fourth quarter (Vine):

The Seahawks added a late Steven Hauschka field goal after an insane catch and run by Lynch to win the game by a final score of 27-17.
