Cardinals vs Broncos Highlights

The AFC West champion Denver Broncos welcomed the undefeated Arizona Cardinals into Invesco Field today (Sun., October 5, 2014) for a Week 5 match-up.

Denver was looking to hold off the surging San Diego Chargers, while Arizona sought to keep their undefeated record intact without starting quarterback Carson Palmer for the third straight week.

It turned out to be a back-and-forth contest. Watch Cardinals vs Broncos highlights below.

The scoring got started with an Arizona field goal that was answered by this 7-yard touchdown pass from Peyton Manning to tight end Julius Thomas, Manning’s 500th career touchdown pass (courtesy of Vine):

After another Arizona field goal, Manning struck again with this 31-yard score to Demaryius Thomas, after which he leapt into the crowd and got soaked in beer (Vine):

The teams continued to trade blows, with Arizona running back Andre Ellington scoring on a 5-yard run before Thomas picked up his second touchdown on an 86-yard catch.

After a Denver field goal, Arizona kept close with this 81-yard score from Ellington after quarterback Drew Stanton was knocked out of the game (Vine):

The Broncos added yet another field goal to go up 27-20 in the fourth quarter, and they extended that lead to 34-20 with another scoring strike from Manning to Julius Thomas.

They extended it to 41-20 with running back Juwan Thompson’s first NFL touchdown.
