NFL Week 4: Saints vs Cowboys Highlights

The New Orleans took on the Dallas Cowboys in Texas on Sunday Night Football tonight (Sun., September 28, 2014) in a game where both teams were looking to make a statement.

The Cowboys were looking to win their third straight after dropping their Week 1 contest to the San Francisco 49ers, while the Saints were in desperate need of momentum after only picking up their first win over Minnesota in Week 3.

Both teams had glaring question marks, but tonight it was the Saints’ flaws that shone through as they were largely unable to stop Dallas running back DeMarco Murray. They rode the NFL’s leading rusher down the field to score a touchdown to wide receiver Terrance Williams (courtesy of Vine):

Murray later scored on this impressive 15-yard scamper in the second quarter (Vine):

And with New Orleans unable to mount any significant offense, the Cowboys once again put together a methodical drive that was capped off by Williams’ second touchdown (Vine):

The Cowboys took a surprising 24-0 lead into the half. They added insult to injury after a Saints field goal, going up 31-3 on this 28-yard touchdown run by Murray (Vine):

The Saints made it interesting with two second half scores including this diving score from Jimmy Graham (Vine):

However, the Cowboys held onto their lead, icing the game 38-17 with a late touchdown pass to Dez Bryant (Vine):
