Bears vs Packers Highlights

Today (Sun., September 28, 2014) the Green Bay Packers traveled into Chicago’s Soldier Field to take the Bears in a pivotal NFC North showdown.

The Packers had largely been one of the most disappointing teams in the league thus far in 2014, looking sluggish on both offense and defense. They needed a win to silence their doubters, but things didn’t get started out all too well.

The Bear spent the first half of the first quarter involved in a 15-play drive that ended with this touchdown pass from Jay Cutler to Brandon Marshall (courtesy of Vine):

The Packers quickly returned the favor thanks to a 43-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers to tight end Richard Rodgers, a pair of passes to wide receiver Jordy Nelson, and a 2-yard touchdown run to Eddie Lacy.

The Bears added an early second quarter field goal to go up 10-7 in the high-paced contest.

Green Bay regained the lead 14-10 with this second quarter scoring pass from Rodgers to Nelson (Vine):

But it was short lived, as Cutler threw the touchdown pass to receiver Alshon Jeffery late in the second (Vine):

Rodgers added another score of his own before halftime, winging a perfect throw to wide receiver Randall Cobb to retake the lead 20-17 (Vine):

The Bears imploded with a pair of second half interceptions from Cutler, falling behind 38-17 after this big play that was followed by a 3-yard score to Cobb, his second of the day (Vine):
The Pakcers eventually ran out the clock to win the suddenly lopsided contest 38-17.
