Eagles vs 49ers Highlights

Today (Sun., September 28, 2014) the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles traveled into San Francisco to take on the struggling 49ers in Week 4 action.

Featuring head coach Chip Kelly’s high-octane attack, the Eagles looked nearly unstoppable through the air and on the ground. However, that all changed when they went to San Francisco.

The Eagles didn’t even get into San Francisco until the second half, but they somehow built a lead with their special teams. The first big play was a touchdown on a blocked punt (courtesy of Vine):

The next one was a return score by electrifying running back Darren Sproles (Vine):

But San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick brought the 49ers back, tossing a touchdown strike to Stevie Johnson to take the lead by two points (Vine):

San Francisco got back to doing what they do best with a grinding running game spearheaded by 100-plus yards from Frank Gore, who took off for this big run in the third quarter (Vine):

They also put a ton of pressure on Philadelphia quarterback Nick Foles, winning by a final score of 26-21. The 49ers called off the dogs on their early-season demise, at least for now. They’ll host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5 next Sunday.
