In a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl, the Denver Broncos traveled into Seattle to take on the defending champion Seahawks in Week 3 of the 2014 NFL season.

Not surprisingly, the game got off to a grinding start, with Broncos running back Montee Ball fumbling an early career to set the Seahawks up in Denver territory.

They promptly pulled off this trick play with Russell Wilson actually catching a pass (courtesy of Vine):

The Seahawks attempted to smash in for a score, but the Broncos held the champions to a field goal as they went up 3-0. Their elite defense continued to stop Peyton Manning and the Bronco offense, lulling the game to a slow crawl until Wilson heaved this impressive 39-yard touchdown to Ricardo Lockette (Vine):

The Seahawks took a 17-3 lead into halftime, but the Broncos came back in the second half. They got an interception off a tipped pass and a safety, then scored on a short shovel pass from Peyton Manning to Julius Thomas.

The Broncos were in scoring position late in the game until Manning threw a crucial interception to Kam Chancellor (Vine):

However, after the Seahawks scored a field goal, Manning miraculously brought the Broncos back within two points with this late touchdown pass to Jacob Tamme (Vine):

The Broncos tied it up to send the game into overtime with this two-point conversion from Manning to Demryius Thomas (Vine):

In the extra period, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch capped off a 26-20 Seattle win with this diving touchdown (Vine):
