NFL 2014 Week 3 Highlights: Dallas Cowboys vs St. Louis Rams

The Dallas Cowboys got out to a rollercoaster start to the 2014 regular season, sustaining a lopsided home loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 before dominating the Tennessee Titans with their rushing attack in Week 2.

That left them with a ton of question marks to answer in their Week 3 match-up against the Rams in St. Louis, and many of them were surrounding quarterback Tony Romo.

Undergoing offseason back surgery, Romo had drawn a ton of criticism for lacking arm strength and accuracy so far this year. He did nothing to dispel these notions early on against the Rams, throwing an interception that was subsequently returned for an easy touchdown (courtesy of Vine):

The Rams stormed out to a huge 21-0 lead, but Romo brought the Cowboys back to within 24-20 thanks I part to this huge 68-yard touchdown to Dez Bryant (Vine):

Laughing in the face of his critics, Romo put the Cowboys up 27-20 in the fourth quarter with this touchdown to second-year man Terrance Williams (Vine):

The Cowboys added on to their lead with an interception return from Bruce Carter for a score to go up 34-24 (Vine):

The Rams added a late touchdown from receiver Austin Pettis, but ultimately the Cowboys held off St. Louis to win this back-and-forth contest 34-31.
