New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski has had a 2014 offseason plagued by questions about his recovery from a torn ACL suffered against the Cleveland Browns in Week 14 of the 2013 season.

Gronkowski repeatedly declared his intentions to play all 16 games this year, but his coach Bill Belichick wasn’t as aggressive. Still, Gronkowski suited up for today’s (Sun., September 7, 2014) Week 1 game against the Miami Dolphins, and not surprisingly, Gronkowski got things started early with a 6-yard touchdown from Tom Brady ( courtesy of Next Impulse Sports):

So Gronkowski is back to his old tricks and presumably healthy, but with a season-ending injury potentially around the corner, the Patriots will be waiting with baited breath to se how he holds up.

Initial results are already positive as the Patriots look for their latest AFC East title in 2014.
