Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been involved in many a fight on field in the past – be it his teammates or opponents. And the Swedish footballer star was at it again on Monday night.

Ibrahimovic, who plies his trade for Los Angeles Galaxy in the Major League Soccer, was at the centre of controversy during his team’s match-up against Montreal Impact over violent conduct.

During the 41st minute of the game, Ibrahimovic slapped Montreal’s Michael Petrasso in the neck before both the players pretended to be injured.

Unsure what exactly had happened between the duo, the referee decided to go upstairs as Ibrahimovic was shown the red card while Petrasso was let away with a yellow.

Despite losing their star striker, Los Angeles Galaxy went on to register a 1-0 victory, thanks to a 75th-minute goal from Ola Kamara. They will next take on San Jose come Saturday.
