Rabada – South African Player of the Year

Rabada’s CSA (Cricket South Africa) Awards, will not be wrong to say! Became the first South Africa player Kagiso Rabada won six awards alone in CSA’s annual awards ceremony. He exceeded AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla. Both of them won five.

Rabada becomes the South African Cricketer of the Year as well. Not only that, the 21-year-old right-arm fast bowler won the award as the youngest player in South Africa. Out of big awards, Rabada only failed to win T-20 Player of the year. Which goes to leg-spinner Imran Tahir.

In addition, the Test Cricketer of the Year, ODI Cricketer of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, Fans Player of the Year and the T-20 delivery of the Year award all 5 award won by Rabada.

On the other hand, best newcomer player has been elected, a Test match played 33-year-old newcomer batsman Stephen Cook. His international debut in January of this year in Centurion.

Rabada’s ODI debut against Bangladesh in July last year. In the first ODI, he took 6 wickets with a hat-trick. So far took 37 wickets in 37 matches. Took 24 wickets in 6 test and 22 t-20 wickets in 16 t-20 matches.
