Paul Pogba makes pilgrimage to Mecca and shares beautiful message

Paul Pogba has a good few days off before the 2018 FIFA World Cup gets under way. Making the most of it, the French midfielder paid a visit to Saudi Arabia to make a pilgrimage to Mecca for the start of Ramadan.

The Manchester United later posted a short video of himself on social media and said: “This is a beautiful place. I cannot explain my feeling here. Inshallah, you all will come here one day. Salam.”

This is not the first time Pogba has visited he holy city, having also been there last year after Manchester United beat Ajax in the Europa League final.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old is expected to get back on field soon with France scheduled to take on Ireland in their first warm-up match come May 28.

They will play two other games against Italy and USA before the main stage kicks off on June 16.
