No title in 50 Years for England!

The Only One! The only world cup title. Except The only word cup which were won by Peter Moores, Bobby Charlton, Geoff Hart’s on 1966. The England football team’s success is absolutely nothing to say. England has won their only world cup title after Geoff Harts hat-trick in 1966, where West Germany was their opponent.

Since 1966, there have been more than 50 years. England is celebrating this winnings still now. But the Three Lions can regrets, they can play only semi-finals on world cup, though they had some great generation.

More importantly, at the continental tournament EURO’s England can never play in Final. Before 1968, the England does not qualify for the tournament. Though qualified after the wining year of World Cup, but cannot qualified for the next 2 season.

Although qualified in 1980 but eliminate from the group stage. In 1984, they failed to qualify for the Euro Cup. From 1988 to 2004, playing consecutive tournaments but can play their only semifinals at 1996, and quarter-finals played in 2004. Besides the three editions were knocked out of the group stage.

They cannot qualified at 2008, though they had some greatest footballer like Beckham, Frank Lampard, and John Terry. Eliminated in the quarter-finals at 2012. And the last EURO they say good bye the tournament from 2nd round after defeats by Iceland.


In world cup, England did not participation in the World Cup before 1950. 6 consecutive tournaments from 1950 to 1970 England took part. 1966 world cup winner did not qualify to take part at two consecutive World Cup 1974 and the 1978. At the 1994 World Cup they also disqualified. In the rest of the regular season they participates as the favorite each time, but they can play in the semifinal only one time. Most time eliminated from second round.

The day of 1966 world cup winnings, might be the most historic day of football in England history. England football still holding this day. On July 30, the 50th anniversary of that day.
