Manchester Derby Match Canceled

Due to bad weather Manchester Derby match between Manchester United and Manchester City has been canceled. Two English giants were supposed to play International Champions Cup pre-season match in China’s capital Beijing. However, due to heavy rain the match isn’t being played.

Man City’s Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho’s team was scheduled to meet for the first time meeting and as the second other club meeting coach among the coaches. This season, both Manchester club appointed their new coach. Earlier, Jose Mourinho was the coach of Spanish Giant Real Madrid and Pep Guardiola was Barcelona’s coach.


In the context of the match cancellation Red Devils tweeted, “Today’s International Champions Cup match was canceled due to bad weather,” Meanwhile, Mourinho said, unfortunate Beijing. He said the ground situation is very bad. However, the match was very important for us to lose or win the game.


Both teams will play in Sweden before starting their new season. On July 30 Manchester United will play against the Galatasaray and The City will play against Arsenal on August 7th.
